Pair of artisans' cottages. 1909. Barry Parker and Raymond Unwin. Painted pebbledash with plinth of brick to ground floor; painted brick segmental arches to recessed entrance porches in outer ranges; weatherboarding to first-floor balconies. Hipped roof of tile with swept eaves and exposed rafter ends. Two storeys and four-window range to the block. Design conforms to the paired and canted bay type which is found, with slight variations in the design, throughout the artisans' quarter of the Suburb. Identical to Nos. 10 and 12 Asmuns Hill (q.v.). No.24 has a large C20 dormer, and late C20 garage of no interest. Despite these alterations the pair is part of the most important Asmuns Hill group, an otherwise intact example of an influential Parker and Unwin streetscape.
