House, now offices. Early C18. Painted roughcast over limestone rubble, painted freestone eaves cornice, sill string courses, ground-floor platband and dressings; stone slate roof to the front of the main block with simulated stone to the rear, pantile to the C19 rear wing. 2-unit through-passage plan with rear wing and C19 rear extensions. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 2-window range. Bracketed gutter. 3/1-pane sash windows to the 2nd floor, 6/6-panes to the 1st floor and C20 windows to the ground floor. To the left is a C18 hood on brackets to a C20 door with a C19 cast-iron bootscraper to the right. To rear, the short early C18 rear wing has a blocked door with a cyma-moulded architrave and cornice coated in C20 roughcast, the early C19 continuation has paired 8/8-pane sash windows. A lower C19 pantiled range has single-storey workshop to the rear with a horizontal sliding sash window. Mid C18 brick stair turret at angle to right of rear wing with thick glazing bars to 9/9-pane sashes. INTERIOR: the through passage to the left is stone-flagged. A chamfered axial beam spans the ground-floor room and passage. A room to the 1st floor of the rear wing has a box cornice, full-height raised and fielded panelling, an open fire to the rear with a cyma moulded surround and a large raised panel over the fire. To the left is an early C18 half-glazed cupboard with Gothic tracery, to the right is a panelled cupboard and a C18 door with 3 horizontal panels and L-H hinges. The right wall is divided from the room by a C20 passage, the panelling continues below the dado round a moulded architrave to a former window which is blocked. Both rooms to the 1st-floor front have chamfered beams with run-out stops. A stack at the rear between the rooms has C19 cast-iron fireplaces in the angled chimney-breasts. The door to the left-hand room is planked with fine wrought-iron strap hinges. The attic to the rear wing has a 4-bay collar-truss roof with tenoned purlins and a ridge-in-notch.
