House with orangery attached at rear. Dated 1820; orangery later C19; rear extension c1935. House of gault brick; slate roof with pedimented gable ends and brick end stacks. Glazed orangery. EXTERIOR: 3-storey 3-window front. Central porch on fluted Greek Doric columns with entablature forming central first floor balcony with wrought iron railings. 6-panel double-leaf door. One 6/6 unhorned sash right and left of porch under gauged skewback arches. Three similar first-floor sashes, the centre one taller to allow access to porch balcony. Three 3/3 unhorned sashes to second floor under gauged skewback arches. Rear: 4-window range with single-storey 2-window flat roofed extension to right; to left, 2-storey wing projects at right angles with single-storey service room and orangery attached. Upper floor windows of main house are sashes of same type as the front. Orangery has sliding sashes with glazing bars under a lap-glazed roof. INTERIOR: marble mid C19 chimneypieces to main rooms. Kitchen with Imperial Crown kitchen range. Staircase with chamfered stick balusters and ramped handrail. Mid C19 first-floor toilet with continuous-flow cistern in room above. Attic with re-used early C18 door on H-hinges. C19 gas lamps remain to upper floors.
