1917/2/10022 Lodge to Seacox Heath

Lodge. Circa 1870, probably by Carpenter and Slater who were the architects of the main house, Seacox Heath. Vernacular Revival style. Ground floor of sandstone, first floor part timberframed with roughcast infill, part ornamental tile-hanging. Tiled roof in two parts with clustered central chimneystack and smaller external chimneystack. Two storeys; irregular fenestration. Front elevation (which is at right angles to the road) has curved wooden gables with pendant, tile-hanging with alternate two courses of plain and curved tiles and flamboyant framing. Four-light casement to first floor and canted bay to ground floor. Doorcase in lean-to wooden porch set back to left. Road elevation has ground floor casement with cambered head. Rear elevation has gable with fretted bargeboard and tile-hanging with diapers of curved tiles. Three-light casement to first floor and two-light casement adjoining half-glazed door to ground floor.
