II
Farmhouse. Datestone 1820; possibly with some late C18 fabric. Flemish garden wall bond red brick. Plain tile roof with gabled ends. Brick axial and gable-end stacks. PLAN : Three front rooms with entrance lobby in front of axial stack between left and centre rooms and with integral outshut at the back; at the rear of the left end there is a 2-storey wing and at the left end of the main range there is a single-storey wing. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys. 3-window north front. Ground and first floors have windows with cambered brick arches and late C20 3-light casements; second floor circa early C19 3-light windows with iron casements; doorway to left of centre with later gabled brick porch and small tablet above inscribed 1820. Brick sawtooth eaves cornice, continued across end gables to form pedimental gables. Single-storey 1-window range on left with sawtooth eaves and 3-light casement. Main roof at rear carried down over 2-storey outshut; 2-storey gable-ended wing on right; rear windows C20 casements. INTERIOR reported to have plank and panelled doors, chimneypieces and cast-iron grates; the attic stairs apparently original.
