Barn and byre. Probably C18. Coursed stone rubble. Plain tile roof with gabled ends. PLAN: 3-bay barn with central tl1reshing bay and integral3-bay byre at right (east) end with loft above. EXTERIOR: Barn on left with central double doors and two tiers of ventilation slits to left and right. Byre on right with three doorways with plank doors and two small windows; loft above has weatherboarded timber-framed front with doorway at centre; similarly weatherboarded timber-framed loft at rear and plank barn doors on right weatherboarded timber-framing above. Ventilation slits on east gable end and pigeon-holes on west gable end. INTERIOR: One 6-bay roof; tie-beam trusses with queen-struts and king-posts to high collars, the principals halved, lapped and crossed at apex, diagonally-set ridgepiece and trenched purlins. Timber-framed front and back walls of byre loft have jowled wall-posts and woven panels. The byre has wooden troughs and mangers.
