Remains of abbey. C13. Coursed and squared stone. Scanty in situ remains comprise the clustered shaft bases of 3 choir piers, and a length of wall, possibly the N wall of sanctuary. Much of the abbey stone and sculpture is incorporated in farm buildings to Dieu-la-Cres Abbey Farm (qv). HISTORICAL NOTE: Dieu l'Acres Abbey was founded for the Cistercians of Poulton c1215.
