House. Early C17 with C19 rear range, altered C19 and C20.
Timber-framed with colourwashed pebbledashed first floor and
ground floor underbuilt in colourwashed brick, English bond,
rear range yellow stock brick in Flemish Bond. Old tiled roof
over front; hipped Welsh slated roof over rear range.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, attics and basement. First floor has 2
flush-set multi-pane C20 casement windows with dripmoulding at
first-floor level. Ground floor has C20 3-light casement
window, subdivided horizontally by transoms, at right, central
C20 multi-panel door in late C17 moulded architrave frame
above 2 painted stone steps. Segmental relieving arch to
blocked basement window at right just above pavement level. At
left carriageway with twin leaf battened doors with
trellis-infilled ventilation panels at top.
Roof with two C20 flush casement dormers with hipped tiled
roofs.
Rear colourwashed brick and weatherboarded with studded door
with panels and segmental head, dated '1654'. Low 2-storey
rear range of yellow brick with Welsh slated hipped roof, with
9-pane sash windows on first floor, altered fenestration
elsewhere, building shared with No.15 (qv).
