House, subsequently with shop at right, now wholly
residential. C17 with C18 alterations and C19 outshut.
Timber-framed and plastered, old tiled roof. Central square
red brick 4 flue chimneystack.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attics; lobby entry plan with 1 room
each side of central stack. First floor has 3 nearly flush-set
sash windows with 6 pane divided glazing, with architrave
surrounds. Ground floor has 12-pane sash at left, central
6-flush panel door with early C19 reeded surround, cast-iron
oval pattern traceried fanlight, and flat hood raised on cut
profiled console brackets. C19 shopfront at right with window
now subdivided with modern mullions and transoms, with
pilaster surround, moulded sill above panelled stallriser,
perforated iron ventilator panel above. Entry at right with
half-glazed door with plain-glazed fanlight above; fascia with
projecting ends, and lead flat top, carried on cut consoles at
each end. Roof with 2 hipped casement dormers. C19 2-storey
outshut at rear.
INTERIOR: tight winder stair with stick balusters and moulded
handrail against stack; 2-panel doors with scotia architraves;
C18 fitted dresser in rear ground floor room; attics ceiled at
collar level, studwork with downward curved braces visible end
wall; roof structure concealed.
