Sedilia from church in St Mary's
Churchyard
GV II
Sedila. C14, removed from church during restoration and
rebuilding in 1891. Decorated Gothic style, triple stall, with
stone seats, and 3 recessed bays, subdivided with attached
colonnettes, badly eroded at time of inspection, canted backs
panelled with trefoil arches in blind tracery, roll moulded
cornice. The masonry of the sedilia was heavily eroded at time
of inspection. The sedilia was rebuilt approx 20m south of
south porch at the end of an avenue of trees.
