House. Early C18 altered and extended C19 and C20.
Colourwashed red brick, Flemish bond, old tile roofs over
brick dentil cornice, one roof over each range 'M' gabled at
ends. Red and yellow brick chimneys with projecting bands,
central 3 bay core, with C19 single bay extensions to left and
right. Rear range of lesser depth also extends across the full
width of the building.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. First floor has 5 widely spaced sash
windows with divided glazing, 3 centre nearly flush-set,
recessed at left and right. Ground floor has 2 large mid C19
canted bay windows, with sashes with divided glazing. Stuccoed
front, with bold cyma reversa moulded cornice with flush
blocking course above, either side of doorway with early C19
lattice trellised porch with slim octagonal wood columns, open
trellised pediment and low pitched old tiled roof.
West flank elevation plastered in gable ends, with recessed
C19 sash windows to first and ground floors right. Ground
floor left with margin glazed early C19 French windows.
Rear elevation with central 2-storey projecting timber-framed
and plastered gabled stair turret, 5 sash windows at first
floor, some with small panes. Ground floor has large lean-to
extension and conservatory with windows with Gothick lancet
traceried heads.
