3 houses, now shops with offices above. Mid C18, rebuilt and
heightened mid C19, early C20 shopfronts on ground floor.
Stucco over brick, rear has red brick laid to Flemish bond to
the ground and first floors, and yellow-brown stock brick in
Flemish bond to second floor, Welsh slated roof above deep
moulded eaves cornice, and red brick chimneystack at left.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 5-bay front. First floor has 5 nearly
flush-set 12-pane sash windows, plat band at second-floor
level, and 5, 6-pane sash windows. Ground floor has bold
stuccoed surrounds to shopfronts at sides and centre, and twin
Tuscan pilasters, raised on plinth, supporting twin profiled
consoles with ogee fronted blocking piece and curved moulded
cornice. Deep fascias with dentil cornices. At left, early C20
timber shopfront with plate glass windows and column mullions
with arcaded heads, having upper lights with multiple closely
spaced mullions. Recessed door at right; right-hand shopfront
late C20 recessed within original surround.
Rear elevation retains 2 flush-set mid C18 sash windows below
segmental arches at right on first floor, with filled voids
for 2 on left discernible. The change of brick above indicates
the raising and rebuilding of the second floor.
