Terrace of houses some now offices. C17, altered C18 and C19,
and modernised at rear mid C20. Timber-framed, plastered, part
pebbledashed and colourwashed first floor, ground floor
underbuilt in brown brick, laid to Flemish bond, black-stained
weatherboarding over colourwashed brick, old tiled roof with 4
square red brick chimneys each with band and orange clay pots
along ridge.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, each house of single bay width with front
and rear room on each floor. First floor has 7 flush-set
12-pane sash windows with moulded architrave surrounds, ground
floor with similar windows, 1 per house, those to Nos 23 and
31 replaced by C20 curved oriel bays carried on cut profiled
brackets. Original doorways, now with mainly C20 half-glazed
doors, retain architrave surrounds and slim board hoods on cut
profiled brackets. Wall studding, exposed internally in some
of the houses, is of C17/C18 form with primary bracing. C19
rear lean-to much renewed with C20 casement windows.
