Gateway to west of No.35

GV II

Gateway, comprised of gatepiers, gates and screens. Early C19.
Cast-iron gates, 2 cast-iron and 3 stuccoed gateposts. Central
pair of carriage gates with square balusters with cross
finials, with more slender uprights alternating in lower
section, segmental arched bracing, dipped segmental top. Fixed
screens (without bracing) left and right, between stuccoed
pier supports. Footgate at left, narrower version of main
gates fixed to cast-iron box gatepost with arched scroll tops
with Greek key band, and diagonal crosses at bottom; similar
post at far right. The gateway was formerly an entrance into
All Saints Churchyard, but since 1964, this has been cut off
by Gascoyne Way.
