House with garden front facing the sea to the east. Probably mid C19, altered and enlarged late C19. Painted stucco over brick, slate roof with rendered stacks to gable ends and C20 dormers. Double-depth plan with 2-storey left wing. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attics; symmetrical 3-window range to the entrance block, with 2 windows to the left wing; the garden front is symmetrical 3-window range. The entrance is in the parapeted south gable end with a moulded stack to the truncated apex. A parapeted rectangular 2-storey porch with banded rusticated pilasters to the curved corners has a plate-glass tripartite window to the 1st floor over a stone Tuscan doorcase and semicircular arch, fanlight and door, flanked by single-light plate-glass sash windows. A ground-floor platband to the left wing becomes a dentil cornice over the window of a canted bay to the centre and a tripartite window to the far left. The garden front has a coped parapet, cornice, flat-arched windows to the 1st floor and segmental arches to the ground floor. 2 late C19 full-height canted bays with plate-glass sash windows are connected by a continuous ground-floor dentil cornice fronting a stone balustraded balcony on cast-iron columns between the bays. INTERIOR: not inspected.
