Gates and gate piers set back from the road, and walls. Mid C19. Wrought-iron gates, rough Plymouth stone ashlar gate piers and walls. Ornate finely-wrought double gates approx 3m high hang from massive gate piers approx 4m high with moulded plinths, banded rustication, stepped and swept caps and large ball finials. To the right is a wrought-and cast-iron pedestrian gate approx 2m high of trellis design, with a simple pyramidal-capped gate pier. The gates are flanked by coped walls, that to the left is approx 1.5m high and curves toward the road for approx 15m, that to the right curves for approx 2m, terminated at both ends by lower piers with stepped pyramidal caps and stone fleur-de-lys finials.
