GV II
Former mill house incorporating earlier cottages to rear, now office. Dated 1796, mid C19 dressings to openings. Limestone rubble and dressings, formerly limewashed, with ashlar gable stacks and stone slate roof. Double-depth plan incorporating rear right-hand wings. 3 storeys; 3-window range. A symmetrical front has irregular quoins, a cornice and parapet, and coped gables. Doorway with raised surround, bracketed canopy and C20 6-panel door, with a C19 carved panel above with festoon and a central mask. Raised surrounds to windows with relieving arches, to plate-glass sashes. Panel on gable inscribed O/ISM/1796. INTERIOR: largely refurbished late C20. At rear is a pair of C18 2-storey former cottages with mullion windows renewed late C20.
