GV II
House. C17. Pebbledashed rubble with sandstone dressings and slate roof. 2 storeys; 2-window range. The windows are rebated and chamfered with mullions, of 5 lights on the ground floor and 4 on the 1st floor. Above the ground-floor windows there is a rough drip course. The central doorway has a moulded surround with an embattled lintel. Above there is a flat sandstone hood on brackets. Gable chimneys. The right-hand gable wall contains a 2-light mullioned window, and the rear wall contains 4 windows of 4 lights. INTERIOR: the left-hand room has a fireplace with a moulded surround and an embattled lintel. The incised date, '1546', is about a century too early for the style of the fireplace. To the right of the fireplace is a blocked doorway with painted chamfered surround.
