GV II
Public house. Probably early C19, shop front fitted or
remodelled mid/late C19. Textured stucco on studwork with
smooth-rendered rusticated jambs, sill bands and lintel bands;
grouted scantle slate roof with projecting eaves. Double-depth
corner-site plan with rounded corner on the left. 3 storeys;
3-window range with original 16-pane hornless sashes. Ground
floor has full-width mid/late C19 unaltered 8-light double
shop front with 2-pane basket-arched lights with slender
turned mullions; end pilasters and flanking doorways; tall
moulded entablature with fascia, moulded sills and curved
glass to bowed corner; basket-arched 2-pane overlight to
central shop doorway with pair of panelled doors with arched
top panels; house doorway at far right with overlight and
glazed door. INTERIOR not inspected.
