House, now hotel. Early C19. Painted roughcast with painted
stone dressings and slate roof. Three storeys, probably above
cellars, and three bays. The windows have plain reveals and
projecting sills. Those on the 1st floor have a sill band.
Glazing bar sashes remain in the 2 upper storeys, but the
blind window in the central bay on the 2nd floor has been
re-glazed in late C20 frosted glass and the ground-floor
sashes have been replaced by fixed lights with glazing bars.
The flight of steps to the door, in the right-hand bay, now
has concrete treads. The 6-panelled door is set within a
pedimented doorcase with engaged Tuscan columns. Gable
chimneys.
