2 houses, now offices and house. Early to mid C19. Painted
roughcast with painted ashlar dressings and hipped slate roof.
2 storeys plus attics.
Bellevue, at the right, is of 5 symmetrical bays and has a
plinth, pilaster strips to left and right, a 1st-floor sill
band, an eaves band, and a stone cornice gutter. The windows
are glazing bar sashes with very narrow surrounds. The attic
is lit by 2 round-headed dormers. The central Ionic porch is
raised on 3 steps and has pilaster responds, a cornice, and a
blocking course.
No.10 (Mayfield) at the left is of one bay, treated similarly
but with slightly lower storeys and without glazing bars in
the sashes.
INTERIOR of Bellevue contains mahogany doors set in reeded
doorcases. The stair hall has a rear wall of semicircular
plan, with a geometrical stair with stick balusters and a
wreathed mahogany handrail.
