GV II*
Offices, originally dwelling. Probably late C15 with later alterations. Timber-framed with plastered mock framing to elevation, and plain tiled roof. 2 storeys, 2-window range with doorway to right and square bay window with hipped tiled roof and leaded lights to left. 3-light casement above, and a 2-light casement to the left. INTERIOR: exposed framing in side wall, with cambered tie beam with curved angle struts visible at a low level, suggesting that the floor has at some time been raised. The building is probably the remains of a late medieval hall-house. (Smith JT: Shrewsbury: Topography and Domestic Architecture to the mid C17: 1953-).
