Shop and hairdressing salon. c1900. Ashlar and red brick, with ashlar dressings and steep pitched Westmorland slate hipped roof. French Renaissance Revival style. Dentillated cornice. 3 storeys plus attics; 5 windows arranged 1:3:1. On the first floor, a recessed tripartite glazing bar window with stone mullions. On each side, a single glazing bar window flanked by pilasters, all under a deep cornice. Above, a 16-pane sash flanked by 10-pane sashes. On each side, a round turret, 2 storeys, with a single window on each floor and a conical roof. Above again, a central through-eaves dormer with pilasters, cornice and crest. Ground floor arcade has 2 polished granite columns and late C20 shopfronts.
