II

Lodge and gateway to house. 1883. For William Greaves Blake. Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and slate roof with tall coped stone gable stack. Plinth. Single storey; 2 window range. L-plan. Drive side has to right a projecting gabled wing with traceried bargeboard and finial. Canted stone bay window, 4-lights, with coped parapet. In the return angle, to left, a lean-to porch with shaped openings and turned wooden posts. To its left, a 3-light stone mullioned window. Left gable has similar traceried bargeboard. INTERIOR not inspected. Adjoining gateway has curved flanking walls with plinth and chamfered ashlar coping. 2 square stone gate piers with cross-gabled ashlar caps topped with octagonal cast-iron lamps. Renewed wrought-iron gates.
