House, now offices. Late C18. Brick with stucco to basement,
and roof not visible behind parapet. 3 principal storeys with
attic and basement. 3-window range. Steps up to central
entrance in panelled architrave with shallow pediment and a
leaded window over it included in the composition. It is
flanked by 2 canted bay windows which continue from basement
storey. Upper windows are Venetian windows in recessed arches
with fan plaster decoration in the overarch. String course. 3
6-pane sashes over (central window blank), moulded stone
cornice and vestigial attic storey. Doorway to No.26 in narrow
bay recessed to right: lean-to porch with pedimented hood
carried on console brackets. Gable and axial stacks.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: cast-iron railings to basement area.
