GV II
Stock exchange, now offices. 1907, by Bradshaw, Gass and Hope; altered. Portland stone (roof not visible). Rectangular plan on island site. Edwardian Baroque style. Three storeys and attic, 7 bays, symmetrical, with channelled rock-faced rustication and cornice to ground floor, open-pedimented end bays with coupled columns, panelled pilasters to the main range with swagged cartouches at the tops, moulded main cornice with blocking course. Square-headed doorways to the end bays with carved shields in open pediments, large round-headed windows between these; 5 oriel windows to 1st floor, colonnaded windows to 2nd floor. Box dormers and tall stone chimneys. Art Nouveau railings to the corners. Sides and rear less elaborate.Interior not inspected.
