House, now offices. Mid C18. Red brick laid in header bond.
Roof of black-glazed pantiles. 3 storeys; 4-window range with
rusticated quoins and platbands between the floors. 3
ground-floor 6/6 sashes under gauged skewback arches, that to
right of the doorway with horns. The door has 6 fielded panels
and a 7-vaned fanlight set within a doorcase of engaged
unfluted Ionic columns under a pulvinated frieze and a hood
with modillions. Four 6/6 unhorned sashes to the first floor,
under gauged skewback arches and four 6/6 horned second-floor
sashes, also with gauged skewback arches. Modillion eaves
cornice. Gabled roof with internal gable-end stacks right and
left.
INTERIOR: converted to offices and continuous with No.6 (qv).
Reeded plaster cornices to ground-floor principal rooms. Late
C18 stick baluster staircase with a ramped and wreathed
handrail.
