Pair of townhouses. Early C19. Mass wall construction, painted and rendered; slate roof, No 17 hipped to the left end; red brick chimneyshaft with some pots remaining at No.17. Rendered axial stack at No.18; cast iron rainwater goods at No.17 only. Plan: Paired doorways in centre, the entrance to No 18 included in the front elevation of No.17. Exterior: 3 storeys. 2:1-bay front; eavesboards. No 17 has a platband at second floor level. 12-pane sash windows with flat arches throughout, the ground and first floor windows of No 17 with glazing bars missing, Doorcase with panelled reveals, pilasters and entablature contains entrances to both houses. No.17 has a half glazed door with 2 vertical panels beneath; rectangular overlight with geometric glazing bars. No.18 has a 5-panel door with the top 2 being glazed; rectangular overlight. INTERIOR: Not inspected but may retain features of interest. Part of a terrace row.
