Pair of attached cottages. C18, remodelled circa early C19 and extended later C19. Rendered brick and tile-hung timber frame; red brick at rear. Clay plain tile roof with gabled and hipped ends. Rendered brick axial and gable-end stacks. PLAN: pair of attached cottages, eaves raised and roof reconstructed in circa early C19, and 2-storey outshut built across the back later in the C19. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. 4-window south front with rendered ground floor and tile-hung first floor and 16-pane sashes and two pilastered doorcases with pedimented canopies on long console brackets, rectangular overlights and flush-panelled doors. Red brick 2-storey outshut at rear with casement windows with glazing bars. INTERIOR: No.14 has stop-chamfered ceiling beam, plank doors and later C19 chimneypiece. No.12 has C19 staircase. Reconstructed C18 roof structure with clasped purlins.
