1. 1291A AMBLESIDE WINDERMERE ROAD Wansfell Holme NY 30 SE 10/50 II 2. 1836. Stone rubble, 2 storeys. South front has the centre 3 bays of the ground floor covered by an elaborately ornamented iron and glass sun room with 5 wide pointed arches. The french windows inside have Gothic traceried fanlights. The upper 5 windows are in moulded stone architraves. A gabled wing at each end. Gothic eaves and elaborate cusped bargeboards with finials on carved corner brackets. Tall octagonal chimneys. Entrance front has 5 similar gables, and a gabled porch with Tudor arched entrance with stepped label, 3-light windows at sides, and a ribbed vault with carved boss. Inner door of porch has Gothic cusping. Interior has an early hydraulic lift.
