Pair of gate piers with gates in inset boundary wall. Late C18 or early C19 piers, gates mid to late C19. Stone walls and piers, cast-iron gates with some wrought-iron scroll-work. The gates are set back from the road with the walls returned in quadrants. To the left the boundary wall continues to a gateway opposite the turning to Elwell Road, and to the right to the straight joint in the walling opposite No.82, Church Street (not included). The piers, in dressed stone, are approx 0.6m square, rising to simple moulded caps with large ball finials, at approx 3m. The gates, approx 2.1m high, have heavy square-section members, a middle rail with scroll embellishment, and a small finial to each vertical member.
