Details
These buildings shall be included in the list:-
SEVENOAKS GRANVILLE ROAD SP 1024 0/1024 No 5 GV II House. c1900 by the architects Niven and Wigglesworth in Queen Anne style. Pebbledashed over brickwork with brick plinth, hipped tiled roof and 3 battered rendered stacks with brick tops. 2 storeys and attics, irregular fenestration. L shaped plan. Front elevation has 3 light attic hipped dormer. Deep wooden bracket cornice and corner large offset buttresses. 2x4 light wooden casements with 2 centre panes opening on 1st floor. Ground floor has right side 3 light canted oriel window with wooden bressumer above continuing over left side doorcase. This has diagonally-placed wooden piers, Oak plank door with moulded architraves. Original iron bell pull, letter box and handle. Right side elevation has attic 2 light casement, 2 battered tall chimneystacks and curved staircase windows. Left side elevation has 1 1st floor casement. Ground floor has 2 oriel windows and doorcase with wooden doorcase with flat hood and diagonally placed square piers. Rear elevation has hipped tiled roof with 3 light hipped dormer. 3 casements to 1st floor. Ground floor has 1 3 light casement, a bow window supported on wooden bracket and stable door to left hand side. Interior has original 2 panelled doors throughout and the hall has 2 sets of wood and glazed screens. Panelled staircase with C18 style balusters. Lounge has dentil cornice and bolection moulded fireplace, Dining room has dentil cornice and wooden fireplace with curved wooden cornice and panelled pilasters. One bedroom has arched alcove and wooden fireplace.
