SU 73-7450 & 73-7451 ODIHAM HIGH STREET (south side) 17/75 No 27 (Oak Cottage) and No 29 (Selwood Cottage) (formerly listed as 24.11.61 Moza and Oak Cottage)

GV II

C15 and later, early C19 externally. 2-storeyed long facade with front gable at west side, being a former medieval hall with crosswing. 4.2 windows. Slate roofing, but tiling at the gable and tile-hanging and some roofing at the rear. Rendered walls, plinth. 4 casements to 1st floor, old sashes in exposed frames within gabled part, 2 good sashes in reveals to ground-floor, at the east end of the ground floor a former shop front with cornice, frieze, reeded pilasters and panes with rounded corners at the top. The doorway to No 27 has a solid frame, a plain fanlight, a moulded pediment and a 4-panelled door above stone steps. Selwood doorcase has an oval arch enclosing a Gothick fanlight, flush-panelled reveals, 6-flush panelled door, panelled pilasters, scroll brackets, broken entablature and open pediment.
