GV II
Pair of gate piers. Early C18. Portland stone. Urns with gadrooned covers and acorn finials, standing on square two-stage bases with baluster-form pilasters to each face. They are shown in a print of 1770 in front of Valentines Mansion, set within an ironwork screen, and were probably removed to their present position on Emerson Road following the acquisition of the house and grounds by Ilford Borough Council in Valentines Park is included in the English Heritage
Register of Parks and Gardens at grade II.
