Farmhouse. Late C16, C18, C19. Close studded timber framing.
Coursed rubble and brick. Partly rendered. Rubble plinths.
First floor bands. Cogged and dentillated eaves, coped gables.
4 gable and 3 ridge stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. T-plan.
Windows are C19 sashes and mid C20 casements. Street front has
to left, adjoining boundary wall, brick, with close boarded door.
To its right, 2 breathers and beyond, 3 casements of different
sizes, with segmental heads. Above, to left, casement with
segmental head. To right, blank panel. South side has a triple
sash on each floor. Above, to right, small casement. West side
has, to left, door in plain jambs, flanked by a triple sash and a
triple casement. To its right, C18 2 storey addition has to
left, mid C20 lean-to porch with door and timber lintel. To its
right, 2 casements with segmental head and to right again, door
with timber lintel. Beyond, door with segmental head. Above, to
left, close-studded bay with 2 curved braces. 3 casements. To
right, casement and 3 tiers of pigeonholes. To right again,
close boarded door. To right, adjoining stable and cartshed.
Mid C19. Single storey. Brick with pantile roofs. Banded
gable. 3 bays wide by 3 bays deep. West front has 3 stable
doors and to right, pair of carriage entry doors. North front
has 3 openings with wooden posts. West gable has, above, hatch
with segmental head. Softwood king post roof with struts. Rear
elevation has to left, pigeoncote with 2 square openings. To
right, casement with segmental head. To right again, lean-to
addition with 2 casements, and door in return angle. To right
again, a door and a casement. Above, to left, a casement. To
right, 3 bays of timber framing with struts, containing a C20 and
a C19 casement. Return angle has 2 casements on each floor.
Interior has in rear wing, 2 pairs of bay posts, one pair jowled,
with straight struts. Chamfered span beams with stops. Pair of
C18 fitted panelled cupboards. Early C19 basket grate in reeded
surround.
