II

Farmhouse, C16, timber-frame and painted brick with Bridgwater tile
roofs, ridge stack and east end stack to main range. Two storeys.
North front has flush crosswing gable to right and rubble stone
plinth. Crosswing has one curved angle brace, first floor casement
pair and painted brick ground floor with C20 window. Main range is
3-window with one pair of opposed angle braces, casement pairs
above, C20 leaded windows each side of C20 French window below.
Rubble stone addition to left with two C20 cross windows and
pantiled roof. Crosswing has lean-to on west side and L-plan
single storey range of former stalls beyond, mostly infilled, the
part adjoining the house converted. Rear has various windows, one
ovolo-moulded C17 stone mullion window to first floor right and
ground floor door to right of stack in raised moulded ashlar
surround with hood on brackets.
Interior: Rubble stone east end addition has C16 Tudor-arched
fireplace said to have been moved from adjoining room. Heavy
chamfered beams. Some windbracing in roof.
