II
Shooting lodge with gamekeeper's cottage attached, mid C19, built for the Colston family of Roundway Park. Timber-frame 2-storey lodge with decorative split-log cladding, asbestos deep eaves roof carried over wide 2-storey verandah on timber posts. North end stack and original barge boards on north end gable. Outside east side stairs up to verandah balcony. Original leaded windows have been replaced by plastic double-glazed windows, 4-light to first floor, 2-light below. Gamekeeper's cottage behind is red brick, 2- storey in 2 sections, with north end stack and decoratve split-log cladding on north end section. Interior: ground floor front room has mid C19 Tudor style fireplace, first floor room has fine late C18 pant-coloured fireplace with carved plaque, presumably transferred from Roundway Park.
