5/98 Choseley Farmhouse.

- II

Farmhouse. C.1600 rear pile, c.1840 front pile. Flint with brick dressed rear, slip-laid carstone with brick dressed front, red pantiled roofs. 2 storey with attics rear, 2 storey front. Tudor-Gothic front has 2 ground and 2 first floor 3-light casements in brick frames, stucco drip moulds to ground floor only. Central gabled entrance bay brought forward. Central stuccoed doorcase with 4 central arch, drip mould head with central rectangular hip. One first floor 3-light casement with drip mould head, brick dressed ventilation slit above. Barge board gable. Brick quoins, kneelers, coped end gable parapets with 2 paired round brick stacks with decorated shafts and moulded caps. Crested ridge tiles. C.1600 rear has c.1840 details on south face projection to west beyond front pile. Rear and end gables have blocked brick dressed C17 windows, at eaves level cut-down by springing of present roof pitch. 2 end and one axial c.1840 round paired brick stacks with moulded bases and caps.
