2/116 Trebutts
II
House. Circa early C18. Slate stone rubble. Slate roof with gable ends. Projecting
stone rubble stack on left hand gable end and brick stack on right hand gable end.
Probably two room and cross or through passage plan, possibly with kitchen on left
and smaller parlour on right, both heated by gable end stacks. Small circa late C19
outshot added on left hand gable end.
Two storeys, regular two window front. The front wall has several straight joints
and the central part appears to have been rebuilt. A 2-light greenstone window cut
from one piece of greenstone lights the fireplace in the left hand room; the detail
of the cusping would appear to suggest an early date, possibly in the C15 and it is
therefore probable that this window has been reset. 12-pane sash, plank door and C20
window to right. First floor with two C19 3-light horizontally sliding sashes. C20
glazed roof lights on front slope.
Interior not inspected.
