Queenhill Manor

House late C16 and C17 timber-frame and painted brick with plain tile roofs. Two storey, H-plan with large north side C16 wing and smaller south side C17 crosswing. North wing has large north side external stack with two diagonal shafts with small timber-framed gabled turret adjoining. Front is close studded and jettied with a modern mullion and transom oriel to ground floor and three-light window above. Ornamental framing in gable. C19 bargeboards.
Centre section is altered and has one gabled half-dormer, brick ground floor with central door and window each side. South wing is square framed to the front with long tension braces, mullion and transom ground floor window and two-light window above. South wall is largely brick with dormer, gable and brick stack but east, rear, gable is square framed with evidence of heightening. C19 and modern rear additions. The north wing apparently contains a former open hall of two bays with arched braced collar truss and windbracing. Ground floor room has fine sixteen panel ceiling with deep chamfered beams. A third bay to the rear has three arch screen from ground floor room to hall and moulded beams to the upper room.
