3/72 Top o'th' Bank Farmhouse 17,12,1968 (Formerly listed as Bank Top) ) GV II

Farmhouse, late C16 or early C17, altered and extended. Sandstone rubble with quoins (south and west sides rendered, north side whitewashed), stone slate roof, external chimney stacks to the north side and the west gable walls. Two units (excluding the extension). Two storeys; north side has an inserted doorway to right of chimney stack, on each floor to the right of the door a recessed 3-light window with a hoodmould, the upper with ovolo and fillet moulded mullions, the lower now a casement; left gable wall has a similar 4-light mullioned window on each floor; right has a large chimney stack with offsets, at 1st floor to the left of this a round-headedlight and to the right a 2-light mullioned window; rear is mostly covered by large C19 extension which is of little interest. Interior: altered, but contains 3 large beams with cyma-stopped chamfer, one with a stone corbel; and at 1st floor the end of a large cambered tie-beam on a stone corbel is visible.
