GV II

Group of outbuildings to house. 1923/24, by Sir Guy Dawber. Local stone rubble, with weatherboard cladding to stables and plain clay tile hanging to water tower; bonnet hipped plain clay tile roofs. Unsymmetrical 'U'-plan. Standard horse boxes to stables on West and North sides, with return to water tower in centre of East wing : this is some 15 metres high. with near pyramidal roof; wood stairs to first floor door on West face, and above a clock face; hipped dormer window in South slope of roof; attached to South end of East wing a garage block of 3 units. To the East a parallel range with half hipped roof to timber building, then some later works in concrete blockwork (not included in the listing), and at South end a good wrought iron garden gate with repousse work. The ensemble forms part of a carefully designed and detailed estate.
