Block of terraced houses. Early C19. Stucco. Roofs not visible. 4 storeys
including attic. Each house 2 windows wide (Nos 24 Motcomb Street and 9 West
Halkin Street occupy 3-bay corner sites). To Lowndes Street: No 24 Motcomb
Street and 9 West Halkin Street each have one bay, slightly set forward, with
pediments to first floor windows and dentil cornices above second floor. Each
has rounded corner bay with corner entrance. C19 and C20 shopfronts to ground
floor. Continuous iron bombé balconies to first floor, with Greek key pattern.
Square headed architraved windows, sashes, French casements to first floors;
glazing bars. Cornice to Lowndes Street above second floor with further cornice
above third floor. Returns similar in character.
