Details

FARNINGHAM BEESFIELD LANE 1. 5280 Lavender Bank TQ 5566 10/90 (Nos 1 and 2) II 2. The building has the date 1722 and the initials I.S. and T.S. on it. However most visible portions date from the early C19, though part of the interior may be earlier. Considerable modifications were then carried out about 1900. The portions where the original work is most visible are the end elevations which are built of red brick and grey headers. Two storeys and attics. Four windows. Three gables, 2 containing attic windows. One bay on ground floor. Casement windows with elaborate latticed panes. The main front has been refaced with cement, 4 windows, 2 gabled dormers with early C19 latticed panes. Two bays on ground floor similar to those on the end elevations and since connected by a verandah with similar windows and gabled porches which has probably added about 1900. Curved early C19 staircase.
