GV II

Large stable block. Early C19. Brick, faced in pink and grey sandstone to west, north (facing Berkeley Castle) and east, with dark stone quoins to north side. Roof not visible behind stepped embattled and coped parapet, with stone cornice. Single range, 2 storeys. 9 bays, with centre bay raised slightly. North side has 9 pointed arch windows with keystones, stone mullion and transoms and lattice windows. Moulded stone string course between floors. Ground floor has 8 similar windows and central double doors. South side in brick with top floor wood mullion and transom windows, some latticed. Ground floor has 8 pointed arch stable door bays flanking central double doors.
