1739. Early C19 wing, right, single storey. Main block, 2 storey and
attic, 2 dormer lights. Red brick, parapet. Slate roof, hipped. Moulded
cornice. 5 windows, sash, with exposed frames, and flat arches, centre
window Venetian. 8-panel door, wood case, panelled reveals, fluted Doric
pilasters, triglyphs, and cornice with fret ornament. Interior: good
entrance hall and stair with panelled dado, heavy turned balusters, oak
handrail; some modillion cornices, and enriched mantel. At one time the
residence of the family of Captain Boycott, the let victim of the Irish
Land Leaguers method of attack by isolation, from which the word "boycott"
arose.

Nos 30 to 34 (even), Congregational church and Nos 38 to 52 (even) form
a group.
