In the entry for: SU 9422-9522 TILLINGTON UPPERTON 25/23 Orchard Cottage GV II shall be amended to read: House, converted into cottages in early C19 and now in 1 ownership again. Core is a C17 timberframed building of 3 bays with early C19 extension to south west and later C20 extension to south east and south west in matching materials. North west front has 3 bays of timber framing with red brick infill on a stone plinth. 3 slightly curved tension braces. 2 C19 casements. Attached to the right is an early C19 addition of 2 storeys stone rubble with brick dressings. 1 3 light casement window and 6 fielded panelled door with the top 2 panels glazed. C20 brick lean to to entrance right. Modern hipped tiled roof with 1 brick chimneystack. North east front has 2 bays of C17 framing with stone infill to the north. Deep plinth. Slightly jowled upright posts, curved tension braces and midrail with metal clamp. C17 chimney but exterior early C19. 2 bay C20 addition to south in matching materials reusing old timbers. South east front has C20 windows. Interior has C17 cambered wooden bressumer to fireplace with lambs tongue stop, and exposed upright posts with midrail. Staircase and doors are C20. Included for group value.

SU 9422-9522 TILLINGTON UPPERTON 25/23 Orchard Cottage - GV II House. C17 or earlier timber framed building with diagonal braces and red brick infilling, partly refaced in stone rubble. Ends of rafters appear like a dentil course. Hipped tiled roof. Casement windows. Projecting chimney breast at west end. Two storeys. Three windows.
