1. 5235 HIGH STREET (North Side) ------------ Nos 97 to l00 (consec) SZ 3295 1/36

II GV n 2. Symmetrical block of 4 houses C18 facades to probably timber framed buildings including long rendered rear range to No 97. Flanking houses, Nos 97 and 100 of 3 storeys, No 97 red brick, No 100 painted brick. Tiled roofs, No 100 with hipped dormer. Both houses, 1 canted, 4 light bay on 1st and 2nd floors with dentil eaves cornice carried round top. Sashes with glazing bars. Patera to 1st floor frieze carried round bay between floors. No 97 has late C19 advanced shop front, that of 100 is modern. Nos 98 and 99, Stucco facade to 98, painted brick to 99. Eaves cornice and blocking course with slate roof to both. 2 storeys and attic with 3 gabled dormers. 6 windows in all, sashes with glazing bars, keystones and flush frames. Modern shop fronts and carriageway arch to rear under west side of No 98. (N.M.R.)

Nos 97 to 103 (consec) form a group.
