Details

SK 45 SE KIRKBY WOODHOUSE MAIN ROAD (south side) 5/49 Prospect Farmhouse and adjoining walls II Farmhouse. Mid C18 and mid C19. Coursed and squared rubble and brick, partly rendered, with slate roofs. Rebated eaves, 4 gable stacks. 2 storeys plus garrets, 3 bays. L-plan. Windows are mainly C19 margin light sashes. South front has central C19 gabled porch with segmental headed doorway, flanked by single sashes. To right, hipped single storey addition with a casement. Adjoining curved yard wall, 5 M. long with ramped slab coping. West side has to left, C20 French window. To right, lean-to addition in return angle. To right again, gable with C20 casement. Above, to left, triple sash. To right, garret casement. East side has projecting gable to left and 2 storey gabled east wing to right. Central bay has a flush mullioned casement. Return angle to left has a casement and a door. Return angle to right has door and casement. To right, coped yard wall with 2 hatches to east. Above, off-centre mullioned casement. Gable to left has 2 garret casements. Right gable has C20 casement.
