2. Timber-framed and plastered house of Cl7 origin but much altered and added to in the C18 and later. The main block is of 2 storeys and attics with 3 window range, a central doorway and a canted bay on the ground storey at the north end. A 2 storey addition extends at the south end, with one window range and a C20 shop front built out on the ground storey. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The doorway has a rusticated surround, narrow fluted pilasters and a curved pediment. Roofs tiled, with a coved plaster eaves cornice and 3 hipped dormers to the main block. (RCHM 18).
